CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago federal judge has decided not to send a cooperating witness in the prosecution of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich to prison for his role in trying to shake down a business.

Judge Amy St. Eve on Tuesday gave Joseph Cari three years of probation. He must spend the first nine months on home confinement.
