Obama’s $1 billion re-election campaign isn’t farfetched, experts say

If you’re an American making $30,000 a year, it would take you about 33,333 years to make the $1 billion that Barack Obama is reportedly going to spend on his 2012 re-election campaign. 

But is it even realistic for a campaign to raise between now and the 2012 election? 

Blagojevich seeks FBI interview notes with Obama

Rod Blagojevich asked a judge Monday to order prosecutors to hand over written summaries of any FBI interviews with President Barack Obama about the ousted Illinois governor's corruption case.
That raises the prospect that Blagojevich could try to make the president a prominent feature of his defense at his upcoming retrial.

WOODSTOCK – A “broadcasting blogger” wants a McHenry County grand jury to hear her claims that President Obama’s citizenship amounts to widespread voter fraud.
Sharon Ann Meroni, founder of Patriot’s Heart Media Network of Fox River Grove, and about 20 network members want Judge Sharon Prather to appoint Meroni as an investigator.

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, now under indictment for allegedly trying to sell President Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder, could get a timely assist from the U.S. Supreme Court. Justices heard arguments last month in a challenge to the a federal law used to prosecute corrupt officials for what is called “honest services fraud.”

If the high court tosses out or weakens this law, that’s good news for Blagojevich.
