It is a time most people in Illinois wish they could forget.

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was awakened on the morning of Dec. 9, 2008, by agents from the U.S. Marshals Service informing him they were outside to arrest him. He wound up becoming the fourth Illinois governor to be sent to prison in the last four decades.

Arrested today on charges of paying bribes to doctors to refer patients to his surgery centers, Raghuveer Nayuk once gave campaign contributions to a long list of candidates for state and federal offices. But none of them came close to the nearly $200,000 Nayuk gave to Rod Blagojevich.
