Supreme Court Race Sets National Record
Illinois only high court election this year has already smashed the previous record for high court fundraising and has even set a new record for candidate spending in high court races across the nation. Democrat Gordon Maag and Republican Lloyd Karmeier have pulled in over $6 million, mostly from tort reform interests. The previous state record was $1.4 million; the race continues for the next week. ICPR in the News
State and national media have consulted ICPR on stories about campaign finance in Illinois. Updated lists of these stories are available in our media page.

Information on Judges
As we did in 2002, ICPR is working with our national partner, Justice at Stake, to produce an on-line voters guide for judicial elections. This year, the site includes information on all candidates for circuit, appellate and supreme court. We are promoting the site with public service advertisements and even a few paid ads around the state. For more on judicial contests, please visit illinoisvotersguide.org
