John Roeser and the Family Taxpayers Network
John Roeser, a Barrington, IL resident, is President of the Family
Taxpayers Network, headquartered in Carpentersville, and owner of
Otto Engineering. In 1994, Roeser unsuccessfully ran for Illinois
Governor against Jim Edgar. The Family Taxpayers Network's primary
issues include the redistribution of school funding, gun rights,
free speech, and opposition to abortion and gay rights. Otto Engineering
specializes in the design and manufacturing of precision switches
and controls used in the medical, radio, heavy equipment, aerospace,
and marine industries.
John Roeser and the Family Taxpayers Network is a career patron
of former gubernatorial candidate Patrick O'Malley (R).
From 1993 to 2001, the Family Taxpayers Network gave $510,735 to
candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative
office, 99% of which was contributed to Republicans.
