Burke, Chicago Alderman Edward M.

Chicago Alderman Edward M. Burke, through his political action committee Friends of Edward M. Burke has over $3.6 million in assets. Burke represents the 14th Ward of Chicago and has served on the Chicago City Council for over 30 years. He is the Finance Committee Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Rules Committee. Alderman Burke is partner in the law firm of Klafter & Burke which has provided legal services to businesses such as American Airlines, Kenny Construction Co. and K-Five Construction, Ameritech, Harris Bank, Bank One, and Habitat Co., which manages Chicago Housing Authority sites. Many of these clients have received large contracts with the City of Chicago. Mr. Burke is a member of the Chicago Plan Commission and the Economic Development Commission.
