*Before you vote, check out ICPR's 2012 primary election resources
Make an informed decision when voting for legislative and judicial candidates! Check out where your candidates for state House and Senate stand on political reform issues, including campaign contribution limits and lobbyist disclosure, through our 2012 candidate questionnaire. Learn about the professional and civic backgrounds of the attorneys seeking to become judge through our special judicial voter's guide.

ICPR is keeping close tabs on the cash in these campaigns, too. Keep current on the money flowing in the 2012 primary campaigns through our periodic reports analyzing political committees' campaign filings. Check our 2012 Election Hub for the latest.

*ICPR Defends State Election Law
In 2010, when an out-of-state group with shadowy funding sued in federal court to challenge Illinois campaign finance laws, ICPR responded by marshaling resources and filing a friend of the court ("Amicus") brief that successfully defended the law. On Valentines' Day, another federal court challenge was filed, and ICPR again delivered an Amicus Brief to defend the law.

Illinois' Election Code was written to defend public institutions from the threat of corruption from campaign contributions, and we will continue to defend the law against the risk that interests with outsized resources will seek to secure special favors by spending on elections.

A copy of our Amicus is available on the website, here.
