Legislator, transit agencies at odds over reports -- RTA, Metra say audit, report not complete yet, vow to disclose them
By Richard Wronski
Metra and the Regional Transportation Authority are failing to disclose information from reports and audits prompted by the scandal involving Metra's former chief, a legislator said Monday.
State Sen. Susan Garrett also says the agencies are paying accountants, lawyers and a public relations firm $1.7 million but have "little to show for it."
The transit agencies deny they are withholding information and are taking issue with Garrett's credibility.
