You are invited to a Town Hall Meeting to Discuss
CAMPAIGN & ETHICS REFORM: WAYS TO FIX A BROKEN SYSTEM

Evanshire Presbyterian Church
4555 Church Street
Skokie, IL
Date: Sunday, June 29, 2003
Time: 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Panel:
Elizabeth Coulson, State Representative - 17th District
Mary H. Schaafsma, Deputy Director, Protestants for the Common Good
Cindi Canary, Illinois Campaign for Political Reform

The issue of money and politics is one that has long been on the issue agenda for Illinois. Citizen participation is what keeps democracy working; the current system of campaign finance weakens democracy as fewer and fewer citizens vote or feel connected to public policy decision making.

The discussion on June 29th will focus on identifying problems and developing realistic alternatives to Illinois' freewheeling campaign
financing and ethics laws. The forum is open to anyone interested in learning about and contributing ideas to a grassroots solution to a state crisis.

Refreshments will be served.
All ages are invited.
