The Elections and Campaign Reform Committee of the Illinois House of Representatives has posted a public hearing on HB 3497, the contribution limits proposal championed by ICPR. The hearing will be held on Wednesday the 28th of March at 9 am in Springfield. This is the first legislative hearing on contribution limits in over seven years. Supporters of contribution limits are urged to attend the hearing or contact members of the committee prior to the hearing. This is a subject matter hearing; the committee will not vote on the bill after the hearing, but a good reception bodes well for future consideration. For more information call us.
