An accounting firm hired by the Blagojevich administration turned over documents Thursday sought by prosecutors pursuing additional criminal charges against a former crony of the governor's.

Lawyers have been wrangling over whether the accounting firm -- Crowe Chizek -- would comply with the subpoena. Blagojevich hired the firm to audit K.K. Bio-Science's dealings with the Department of Children and Family Services. K.K. Bio-Science owner Anita Mahajan is accused of bilking the state of at least $2.1 million.

In court papers, prosecutors said Crowe Chizek and the administration were not complying with a subpoena for the results of the audit.

But on Thursday, Crowe Chizek turned over the requested documents to Judge James Obbish. The documents are under seal.

Mahajan has pleaded not guilty. Her husband has donated money to Blagojevich. And Patti Blagojevich earned $113,000 in real estate commissions on deals involving the Mahajans.

Recent legal filings depicted the Blagojevich administration as being in control of whether Crowe Chizek turned over the documents.

A Blagojevich spokeswoman said last month and Wednesday the audit was not complete. But in court filings, prosecutors said it has been complete since June.
