Walsh Construction

Walsh Construction, with headquarters in Chicago and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is a demolition, planning, design, construction, and finance company. Walsh's CEO is Matthew M. Walsh. Crain's Chicago Business ranked Walsh Construction the largest construction contractor in Chicago in 2000.  Walsh Construction has been awarded major contracts for projects including the Dan Ryan Expressway (IDOT), the Des Plaines River Valley Bridge (IDOT), Millennium Park, The Shedd Aquarium, and O'Hare International Airport; $419,907,460 worth of government contracts, in all, have been awarded to Walsh Construction between 2000 and 2008. Walsh Construction contributed more to Blagojevich's campaign fund, than any other contractor on the Dan Ryan project.

From 1993 through June 30, 2003, Walsh Construction gave $128,315 to Illinois legislative and statewide candidates. 76% went to Democrats.
