Chicago Association of Realtors PAC

The Chicago Association of Realtors PAC (CARPAC) is the political action committee of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR). Founded in 1883, CAR represents 12,000 members from diverse real estate specialties. CARPAC contributions are administered locally by the CARPAC Board of Trustees. As a local branch of the Illinois Association of Realtors, CAR shares much of its legislative goals. Previous priorities have included opposition to real estate taxes and to the involvement of banks in real estate, support for the prohibition of local rent control ordinances, simplified evictions and an exception for realtors in the Restricted Call Registry Act.
