Desnick, James

James Desnick is a physician who lives in Highland Park, Illinois. From 1995 to 2000, Desnick was placed on probation and fined $100,000 by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation for violating provisions of the Medical Practice Act. In 2000, he settled a suit for $14 million in federal court on charges of fraud and over-billing in connection with Hyde Park Hospital.

James Desnick is a career patron of Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka (R).

From January 1, 1993 through December 31, 2005, James Desnick gave $172,000 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 95% of which was contributed to Republicans.
