Citadel Investment Group, LLC is a multi-billion dollar hedge fund founded by Kenneth Griffin in 1990, and is one of the world's largest hedge fund managers. Citadel employs over 1,400 individuals globally with locations in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Citadel is the eleventh largest hedge fund manager in the world and deploys approximately $15 billion of investment capital around the world. In addition to being the President and CEO of Citadel, Mr. Griffin is also a member of the Boards of Trustees of The Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association. He also serves as a Director of The Chicago Public Education Fund, which helped build a charter school with help from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and is a member of The Chicago Public Library Foundation Investment Committee and the Harvard Financial Aid Task Force. Griffin's foundation, Citadel Group Foundation, has contributed to public education, the Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
