George C. Casey is the president of a division of Texas based Spectrum Consulting Group, which is a business consulting firm that specializes in finance and technology reorganization. Spectrum Consulting Group was involved with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, helping to implement the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) - a database of Illinois child welfare and foster care programs.

George C. Casey is a career patron of unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate Roland Burris (D).
