Obama Called Emil; You Should, Too
Illinois" junior Senator, Barack Obama, took a break from his presidential campaign to call Emil Jones, President of the Illinois Senate, to urge him to move HB 824, the pay to play bill. Can you make time in your busy schedule to do the same? Call the Senate President at either 217-782-2728 or 773-995-7748 and tell him to bring his chamber back into session.
In just the last two days, newspapers across the state have editorialized in favor of reconvening the Senate to address the pay to play bill. These include:

What will it take to convince Emil Jones to do the right thing? It will take you, as a voter in Illinois, to make a phone call. Please call the Senate President at either 217-782-2728 or 773-995-7748 and tell him to bring his chamber back into session. Barack Obama wants it. His members want it. The public deserves it. Why wait?
