*Sunshine Database Updated with First Quarter Reports
Candidates filed campaign finance reports with the State Board of Elections last Friday, April 15, and by Tuesday, April 19, ICPR had updated the receipts tables on our database with fully coded and standardized records. By this time next week we'll have expenditures and fund balances updated, as well as records filed with the State Board of Elections on paper. Check the website for up-to-date information on your favorite statewide, legislative, Chicago, and Cook County officials and candidates.

*Illinois Senate commits to two public meetings on draft maps as redistricting deadline approaches
As the state's leading proponents of bringing more transparency into the once-in-a-decade district-drawing process, ICPR is pleased to announce that the chairman of the Senate Redistricting Committee announced this weekend that it intends to hold two public hearings on draft maps. ICPR called on the House Redistricting Committee Monday to match that pledge by itself holding two meetings to take feedback from the public on draft maps and consider their suggested changes in an open forum. Learn more about our work in today's column from Mark Brown of the Chicago Sun-Times and participate at the remaining House and Senate Redistricting Committee meetings.  And if you can't make it to a Redistricting Committee hearing, go to our website to contact your legislator about your concerns.
