Bomke fundraising efforts continue — for now

State Sen. LARRY BOMKE, R-Springfield, has made it pretty clear he’s not likely to run for another term. So why is he still raising money?
“You just can’t start and stop these things,” Bomke told me this week, referring to a $150-per-person golf outing today at The Rail. “It takes months in advance of planning.”
This is understandable, given that the campaign will have to pay the course for hosting the event. But it is just one part of the question of what someone like Bomke does with his robust campaign fund if he’s no longer a candidate.
