“President Trump could be casting a shadow over the Illinois attorney general’s race.

“I think, based on some of the comments we have heard from the candidates, there may be some issues of national importance that really compelled a lot of them to enter this race,” Sarah Brune, executive director of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, tells WTAX News. “immigration, sanctuary cities, lots of issues that may be considered central to the Trump agenda realy made some of these Democratic candidates want to get involved.”

Brune says of the Democratic hopefuls, each is well-known in his or her own way.”
