How Politicians Snag Bears Tickets

Chicago - It's a question you're hearing everywhere in Chicago this week, especially at City Hall: "Are you going to the game this weekend?"
"I don't have the money to buy tickets," laughed new Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle.
Preckwinkle obviously hasn't learned that when you're a politician, getting tickets is a whole different ballgame.
Political watchdog Cindi Canary of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform said it's standard practice for sports teams to set aside tickets for elected officials. In 2008, both the Cubs and Sox offered all 50 aldermen a chance to buy playoff tickets before they went on sale to the public.
